De late fazant

[uz podpolja]

Het draait in cirkels, spiralen
waaruit ook ik - als volleerd, kijk dan -

hoeken sneed, scherp

soms stomp, vaak doelloos kervend
naast de kern waarin
geen vinger

verdwijnpunt
geen taal

De draaimolen tolt, herhaalt zich

lachend, de ketens negerend,
oren tuiten. Het draait altijd

om de late fazant
die het spotlied vergat
die zo blind is als

Greed

Platonic yellow

© Giorgio de Chirico, The brain of the child (Moderna Museet, Stockholm)

within the lines, crying in black
and short fiction, i remember you
saying : there should be difference

there should be something in between,
a future for shame. i remember
your name : platonic yellow, once

a note on tenses, now a question-tag
in slow motion. there's no highlight
within the lines of consciousness,

i said, only words, and words
always loose the battle. it's
likely that, in pitch-black, i guess

Pruim

Geef me woorden, sleutelwoorden, roep ik
- de mond inderhaast tot pruim gewrongen -
maar niemand speelt mee

You may ask yourself

© Alessandra Sanguinetti (Kulturhuset, Stockholm)

You may ask yourself : what tower ? How / and more likely why Babel ? Isn't that the place / where we all grew up ? With all the limits / frozen in a moment of indifference ?

Grandfather had a big handwriting, she said, a classical defence.

You may ask yourself : what about those / shaky feelings - bad, mad or sad - when everybody's talking / about the talk of town. Is reality indeed changing / all the time ? Do we puzzle, fail and move to another place ?

Just around the corner, she said, that's probably the bottomline.

So ? We say what we have to say and do / something panoramic untill there's no story left / to tell ? Although we go back an do it over /
and over again. It comes easily to us, in fact, in random episodes, in green and smoky red.

Go back in time is possible, she said, for example.

Why don't we take a spoonful of sugar and ask ourselves : / what makes (the towel of) Pandora so boring ?

Die Frauen von Klimt

"All art is erotic (..) Whoever wants to know something about me – as an artist which alone is significant – they should look attentively at my pictures and there seek to recognize what I am and what I want" (Gustav Klimt)

Mal-kander VIII

Always the mother

© Louise Bourgeois, 'I am afraid' (Moderna Museet, Stockholm)

i am afraid of silence
i am afraid of the dark
i am afraid to fall down
i am afraid of insomnia
i am afraid of emptiness

is something missing ?
yes, something is missing and always will be missing
the experience of emptiness

to miss
what are you missing ?
nothing
i am imperfect but i am lacking nothing
maybe something is missing but i do not know and therefore do not suffer

empty stomach empty house empty bottle
the falling into a vacuum signals the abandonment of the mother
